a small luxury on the hand
In 1970s New York, amidst the vibrant and ever-changing landscape of SoHo, Giorgio DeLuca, a passionate high school teacher, pursued his deep-seated love for food. Ignoring the neighborhood's industrial backdrop, he took a leap of faith and opened a cheese specialty store in 1973. In 1988, they relocated to the corner of Broadway and Prince Street, creating a space reminiscent of an outdoor market with a variety of shops offering vegetables, fruits, prepared foods, cheese, bakery items, and more. This is the original essence of DEAN & DELUCA that has been preserved until now.
